I really don't know what to say about last night's match.

We watched via Hawaiian TeleMedia. I don't know who that team was that played in games 1 and 2. When Coach Jordan came out from the break after game 2, he asked the broadcast team if the game had started yet. Then they made the comment of "I guess he found his team in the hallway".

Game 3 was what we are used to seeing.

Did they crack under pressure? Did the fans get to them and cause them 19 service errors? Did they not only lose on the court but lose the mental game as well?

I don't know. It's disappointing for sure but I know I'm not as disappointed as the team.

Suffice to say we'll be there with bells on Thursday as they take on Fresno State in the Pan Am. The crowd will be rocking - cuz we love our Aggies, win lose or draw.

I was at last night's match and in my opinion the crowd did have an impact on the NMSU players when they were serving. Having over 8000 people making a lot of noise when you serve must have rattled your team. I'm sure they have never experienced that type of atmosphere before. Even last year the SSC was not as electric.
The real test between the 2 teams is if/when they play each other in the WAC tourney.

I'm glad NMSU joined the WAC. First conference match I looked forward to in years.

I was at the match also and I am positive the crowd was a factor. There was alot of talk around Honolulu about how vulgar the NMSU fans were to the UH players making sexist, and racist comments when UH played there. So that really got the fans into the match.

I would like to make one comment about UH's loss (NMSU's victory) back on Friday Oct 13th: I think NMSU fans made to much out of the victory over UH. UH played FIVE matches in SEVEN DAYS with the last two matches on the road culminating in NMSU's victory. Even with 3 starters out for the season with injuries (Tara Hittle, Nickie Thomas, and Jessica Keefe) UH will beat NMSU on a neutral court everytime.
