After a long day at work, there's nothing like coming home and checking out the Monday poll from AVCA.

The Aggies are now a TOP 20 TEAM!! We recieved 380 votes, moving us up from #23 last year. BYU's defeat by UNM dropped them to 21.

It is - indeed - a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

Aloha and congrats to NMSU. Great to have 2 top 20 teams in the WAC. Can't wait till the match here in the islands!

Interesting to read the rabid Hawaii fans comments on VolleyTalk. How quickly they forget that NMSU was the only team to take them to 5 games in their home court last year. This year's NMSU team is much better than last year's, and by their own admission, this year's Hawaii team is not as good as last year's. Of course, I pity poor LA Tech, having to play against NMSU on Wednesday and then Hawaii two days later!

What paul says is true but how quick he is to forget that Hawaii had significant leads against NMSU this year in games 2 and 4 during the first meeting. One thing to be sure is that this is going to be an interesting match.

Sure, Hawaii had those leads in games 2 & 4 ... and then NMSU game back to win both, plus game 5. (I was there. My ears were ringing after the match!) Then we got to watch the Hawaii fans rag all over their team on V-Talk. It will definitely be a great match in Hawaii, but NMSU has to be on their game. and ATTACK the ball. What will happen when NMSU wins again: will the Hawaii fans ask for Dave Shoji's head? :-)

Sorry to the anonymous poster but I prefer to keep this blog positive.

I would like to keep this positive as well, however poster Paul wants to point out the "rabid Hawaii fans" posts on Vtalk. Who turn this blog negative?

First, Paul happens to be a friend of mine.

Secondly, there isn't anything wrong with saying the Hawaii fans are rabid fans. They are - just as we are rabid Aggie fans.

Thirdly, your comment included the comment "Thank God they don't act and think like you morons." That is more negative than anything Paul or Roy were talking about.

I don't mind anonymous posts - join in and contribute in a postive manner. That's why I do this blog. Maybe even let us know who you are.

That wasn't my anonymous post that you deleted. Mine was pretty tame in comparison.

My apologies then. But you can imagine it's kind of hard to differential between posts when the poster signs in as anonymous.
