NMSU (2-0) vs. NAU (2-0)
Coach's Pre Game:
Review of UC Davis game: 2 and 3 were extra tough and UC played very hard.
He felt the team served better.
The centers - Gintant and Rogers are good. Gintant had the spring to prepare with the team. She's running the team for the first time so there are going to be some issues, some mistakes. She's playing well but isn't as athletic as Jackie Choi. Rogers is talented physically and is ahead of the game with her volleyball IQ for a freshman.
The is the team's 3rd match in 24 hours. Coach said they're tired and will probably be utilizing more players earlier. They're going to have their hands full tonight.
The gameplan, Coach said, was goign to be about the same. He said that if NAU gets lucky at slowing the middles, they'll be looking to Anna Callis on the outside to bring it home.
A note on Lindsey Yon - she went for a ball with another teammate and hit her head on Gintant's elbow. She sat out for a few points, got the all clear and got back into the game.
