Rumor has it that there is a setter transferring to NMSU.

I don't have a name - nor do I have actual, official confirmation. It was mentioned on the Crimson Storm message board.

I keep checking the NM State Sports website but haven't found anything yet.

To say the least, I'm intrigued!

Her name is Alyssa Gintant a 5'10 So from Iowa State.In two years she has only played in 6 matches and has very litle playing minutes. In the sport she is what we call a scout player or pratice team player.
She has no real accompilshments in the sport such as conference awards and nothing impressive in her prep years.
She will add depth to the postion but the quality of her contribution to the team is something that we will need to wait and see.She could end up being nothing more than another body

Saw action in five matches and nine games as the Cyclones' backup setter ... got the start against Northern Iowa, posting a career-high 50 assists to lead ISU to its second-straight win over Northern Iowa ... also had a career-high six digs against the Panthers ... had 18 assists, five digs and a career-high four block assists at UC Irvine ... recorded 17 assists, three kills and two digs against UMKC.

Saw first career action against Drake in the Cyclone Classic, recording four assists and a service ace ... notched a pair of assists against North Dakota State.
